Students rotate through each aspect of production. They support each other as a team, forming a movie crew that works to produce an original film.
This one month intensive program is held in a professional studio facility in Manhattan.
All work is done on state-of-the-art equipment.
Upon completion the students’ film is premiered at a professional screening room.
Our programs have received excellent notice in The Jewish Week, The Blueprint, AM New York, ARTnews, D’Art International, and most recently, the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting E-Newsletter.
Benefits
Learn to produce a film while connecting to Jewish tradition. The curriculum is designed to educate the mind and enliven the spirit of the student through making an original video film exploring a cultural theme. The filmmaking workshop provides the perfect tool to connect teens to their identities, and their more vital role as interpreters of their heritage.
Actualize one's own innermost creative instincts. Through writing, role playing, reflection, visualization and story telling, the curriculum provides young people with the opportunity to interpret and express their own perception, creativity and thoughts.
